GI Bill in hand
and adventure in his blood, Nevin Sitler – kayaker, outdoor enthusiast, and former Air Force firefighter, became a Floridian in 1995. The Sunshine State's colorful history and countless rivers have captivated him since.
Nevin earned his Master's Degree in Florida Studies from the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg in 2006, where he befriended Paddle & Path, LLC partner Edward C. Woodward.
In addition to contributing his writing and computer skills to www.paddleandpath.com, USF, and the St. Petersburg Museum of History, Nevin has written for Cigar City Magazine, and the Pinellas County Historical Society. Nevin has worked for The St. Petersburg Times, and performed historical reviews for Florida (Celebrate the States) 2nd Edition (2006), and Florida's Fabulous Lighthouses (2007). He is a contributing author for The Rivers of the Green Swamp Anthology (2008) and Florida's Fabulous Historical Places (2009).

twists like the Ocklawaha River: reporter for weekly and daily newspapers (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune), oral historian, freelance writer, AmeriCorps volunteer, and storeroom and package store clerk.
Currents guided him to a master’s degree in Florida Studies from the University of South Florida – St. Pete, where he contributed to the anthology Rivers of the Green Swamp. His river now bends to Paddle & Path, LLC, launched with co-founder and paddling pal Nevin Sitler.
Edward, a native of Quincy, Florida, lives in Tampa with his wife, kids and cats, one of which answers to the theme song of Sanford and Son; the cat, that is, for you grammar folks.
