obama girl and the crashes of '08
BY TIM OHR

At first I did not notice the woman’s body lying in the path ahead of me because of various distractions.

I could tell you the main distraction was the wildflowers. This wouldn’t be true, but it sounds better than the real distraction.

Floridasnakes.netThe roller blader was blithely unaware of the diamondback rattlesnake in her path. One bladed foot pushed off, then the other, while the distance between human and serpent closed.

I thought to shout a warning. "Look out! There’s a rattlesnake ahead!" But I did not. I was afraid I might startle her, she might panic and fall, perhaps right on top of the snake. Click Here for the Full Story.

BY  TERRY TOMALIN

Thonotosassa - Eric Hornsby smiled when I asked him about paddling a stretch of the Hillsborough River called Seventeen Runs.

A sign posted at the entrance of the bewildering stretch of river reads: "Abandon all hope ye who enter here."  Click Here for the Full Story.

BY TIM OHR

For Bruce’s final day as my riding companion at Flatwoods Park, I had planned on something spectacular.
